Canadian native English speaker with over 5-year teaching experience, is upbeat, innovative, empathetic, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Emily is known for customizing engaging lessons tailored to students’ goals. Emily has a diversified background in her professional experiences, such as in ESL teaching, Finance, and Animation. She holds a BA degree in Animation in which she has had the opportunity to collaborate with the City of Vancouver and the David Suzuki Foundation before she worked in a high net-worth private investment firm based in Vancouver. A proponent of continuous learning, Emily has always been a passionate learner and believes in amalgamating her knowledge and experience to build her students’ confidence. In 2017, Emily travelled the world to expand her global experience before moving to Taiwan to work in an independent English school. Emily climbed up as one of the highly rated and popular ESL teachers in her first year. She is a diligent and professional coach well-versed in Corporate ESL; many of her adult students are software developers, engineers, health consultants, and managers. Emily is experienced in guiding and crafting personal statements for students applying for undergraduate and graduate degrees. She is also experienced in private schools admission preparation such as Collingwood School, Mulgrave School and West Point Grey Academy.
Outside of work, Emily hosts floral arrangement sessions or creates videos. She enjoys learning new skills, hiking, cooking, illustration, philosophy, philanthropy, and flying off to different countries to explore and immerse in ancient studies.

Born in Canada to parents of Hong Kong Chinese origin, Iris has been helping families and students absorb the culture shock accompanying immigration. Iris is an instructor of English Studies with over 20-year experience. She is a tactician, strategist, teacher and coach with a breadth and depth of offerings regarding English proficiency courses. She teaches English to high school students in preparation for English literacy examinations and other standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, SSAT and SAT.
In addition, Iris coaches graduate school interviews at universities such as Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University, and the University of Toronto, to name a few here. She harnesses students’ abilities to respond to questions in a time-sensitive citation confidently and succinctly through practice. Her students have a high success rate in the school interviews.
Iris is interested in literature in translation, dogs, walks, yoga, food, church, and philanthropy. She is well versed in the following disciplines, including Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, World Culture, and English Literature.

Graduated from UBC, with a Bachelor of Art in Environmental Sustainability, Avril continued to get her Master of Science at UBC. At EMAC, working as a senior academic consultant, Avril shows her expertise in helping her students to apply for diverse graduate schools in North America.
Apart from providing the professional suggestion for crafting a personal statement, she has helped our applicants to perform well in different shortlisted candidates' interviews at diverse graduate schools.
As she immigrated to Canada at a younger age, she is good at helping new immigrants and international students to retain a smooth transition to the education system in Canada.
She is a renowned golfer who has won Greg Walker Memorial Scholarship and Gail Moore Memorial Thunderbird Women's Golf Award.

She is very good at coaching academic writing. She loves to travel with her husband who is a high school teacher in Australia. She loves to travel in China and Hangzhou is her favourite city.

As a 2022 TedX Youth Speaker, Amanda first-hand experienced the thrill to positively influence youths through her personal struggles and achievements. Meet Miss Ally, a highly qualified and experienced STEM teacher who graduated from the UBC Sauder School of Business. With over ten years of teaching experience, Miss Ally is known for her rigorous yet fun approach to education.
In her classes she continually explores the potential of each student and has a knack for helping them to grasp the basics, all while training them to think independently and move into deeper concepts quickly. Miss Ally is dedicated to accommodating a diverse range of student needs by facilitating all learners‘ styles and offering individualized support. She inspires her students to learn and encourages them to reach for their dreams.
Beyond the classroom, Miss Ally's passion continues to shine with her love for sports and nature. She indulges herself in hiking, snowboarding, and kickboxing, just to name a few. She also has a unique talent for oil painting, dancing, traditional Chinese calligraphy, and photography. Miss Ally's diverse interests and skills make her a well-rounded and inspiring educator.
